    Tali Gottlieb – Executive Director of IPO Foundation

    Tali Gottlieb, born in Tel Aviv.

    Following her military service as the assistant to the head of the IDF's radio station and later as the station's spokesperson, she studied law at the Tel Aviv University.

    Since 2001, she has served as the Executive Director of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra Foundation, responsible for fundraising worldwide, the cultivation of future audiences and supporters and the maintenance of the orchestra's standards of excellence.

     

     

    Prof. Tamie Ronen - Dean Of Social Sciences – Tel Aviv University

    Professor Tammie Ronen Rosenbaum is the Dean of the Gershon Gordon Faculty of Social Sciences, Tel-Aviv University.  She is the head of the child and adolescence clinical studies at the Bob Shapell School of social Work, and the head of the Renata Adler Memorial Research center for Child welfare and protection, in Tel-Aviv University. She is an expert in child and adolescence development as well as in cognitive behavior therapy and positive psychology.
    She was the previous president of the Israeli Association for Behavior and Cognitive Psychotherapies. Professor Ronen is the author of many books and research articles in this area and conduct numerous studies on risk behavior, aggression and subjective well being of adolescence.
    She trains and serves as a consultant in treating adolescence in many European countries. She developed an intervention model for reducing aggression by increasing positive affect and self-control skills and this project was found effective and has been adapted by the Ministry of Education to apply all over Israel.

    ISRAEL PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA - Joined in 1973.  In 1980, I was appointed Secretary General, a position I currently hold.

    VERBIER FESTIVAL AND ACADEMY - In 1994 I founded the Verbier Festival and Academy.  I held the position of Artistic Director for the first decade and am currently Artistic Consultant.

    In my capacity as both General Manager of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra and Artistic Consultant of the Verbier Festival and Academy, I am responsible for planning the musical seasons of both, logistically and artistically.  I am also charged with the organization and implementation of all aspects of their world tours (flights, hotels, fees, programmes) and special musical events.  Other duties include negotiating artists’ contracts as well as recordings (actual and internet) of both the Orchestra and the Festival, local and international fundraising and coordinating administrative and artistic liaisons.  Throughout my career, I have established relationships with many famed artists – past and present – and am fortunate to count them among my close friends.

    EDUCATION - Master's degree from Tel Aviv University; studied comparative literature, theatre, business administration and education.

     

     
    Yoel Abadi - IPO Committee and Horn player

    Yoel Abadi is a management member and a horn player in the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, with which he has performed under the batons of renowned conductors such as Zubin Mehta, Riccardo Muti, Lorin Maazel, Kurt Masur, and many others. As a soloist in Kaprisma Ensemble, he regularly performs in concerts in Israel and abroad, and has recorded 5 albums which include some pieces written for him.
    Yoel is a founding member of The New Israeli Ensemble and has performed in chamber concerts with Sharon Kam and Itamar Golan. As a natural horn player, Yoel performed with Anthony Fey, Marc Vallon, Zvi Meniker, and other prominent artists in the early music field.
    Amongst the festivals he participated in, are the Rolandseck Festival (Germany), Classical Winter Festival (Israel), Spring Festival of St. Petersburg, and the Jerusalem International Chamber Music Festival, where he performed alongside Daniel Barenboim.
    Yoel Abadi studied with James Cox, and received a scholarship to study at Rice University with William VerMeulen. He has also studied natural horn at the early music institute at Indiana University.
    For over 10 consecutive years, Yoel was a recipient of scholarships from the America-Israel Cultural Foundation. Yoel Abadi teaches at the Academies of Music in the Tel Aviv and Jerusalem Universities, and serves as the representative of the International Horn Society in Israel.
